My name is Nelson. I blog whatever the fuck I want. I am a mess of feelings and thoughts and likes and dislikes. the same as everyone else. maybe I'll show that here. I think I'm pretty funny.

new life thing: time is money

i get paid $8 an hour. with this, why don’t i value all my time at a comparable hourly rate.

my life has finite length remaining, albeit probably a relatively long amount of time. but on this earth, i will only have so much time to do the things i want to do.

spending hours a day on tumblr seems like a not awesome choice when faced with the fact that my time is valuable to me.

I propose that my free time be worth approximately $4 an hour to myself. 4 because it’s like minimum wage after taxes and other stuff. perhaps the number should be adjusted but 4 seems like it’s not too low or high.

but basically the mindset is to optimize the value I get out of every hour and every dollar. To be frugal with my time.

just consider your time to be worth something and you should be able to motivate yourself to do bigger and better things. why center your life around something that has no results? just think to yourself whether you would spend 4 dollars on an hour of that tv show or an hour of tumbling and Facebook.

maybe you would spend that $4. this thought process is just to weed out unneeded things from your life from the things you actually are passionate for.

trying this out soon. more theory to come with it soon too maybe.
